2. What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It
Customer Orders & Account Information While you visit our site, we track products you have viewed and use this information to, for example, show you products you’ve recently looked at. When you purchase from us, we ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, and payment details. We use this information to:
- Send you information about your account and order.
- Fulfill your order and facilitate direct-to-door delivery.
- Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints.
- Process payments and prevent fraud.
- Set up your account for our store.
Comments When visitors leave comments or product reviews on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist with spam detection.
Media If you upload images to the website (such as a profile picture or product review photo), you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

- Delivery Partners: We share your name, shipping address, and contact number with our courier partners to ensure your frozen products are successfully delivered to your home.
- Payment Gateways: We share necessary transaction details with our secure payment processors to handle your purchases.
- System Functions: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
6. How Long We Retain Your Data
- Comments: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
- Registered Users: For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
- Order History: We retain order information for our accounting and tax records as required by local law.
7. What Rights You Have Over Your Data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
8. Where Your Data is Sent
Visitor comments and product reviews may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Payment data is processed securely through encrypted gateways.
Payments, Delivery & Communications
Payments are processed securely by Yoco; we never store your full card details. Your name, address and phone number are shared with our delivery courier solely to fulfil your order, and they may contact you by SMS or WhatsApp to coordinate delivery. Order and account emails are sent via our mail provider. We retain order records as required by South African tax law, and we handle all personal information in line with POPIA. Google Customer Reviews
After checkout you may be offered the optional Google Customer Reviews survey. If you opt in, your email address, order number, delivery country and estimated delivery date are shared with Google to send you a review request after delivery. Participation is entirely optional and governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
